Is there a government or not in Tamil Nadu?

Asking the rulers to impartially take action to prevent occurrence of sexual crimes, murders and robberies without showing keenness in being vindictive against opposition party functionaries, DMK President Kalaignar urged them to come forward to establish law and order in Tamil Nadu wondering whether there is a government or not in Tamil Nadu.
In a statement of June 25, Kalaignar said,
“With the advent of ADMK regime, law and order situation has come to the fore. Daily reports of murder and robberies and rapes every week are stinging like scorpion. The regime, which has to take action for that is staging a drams as if they have nothing to do with it and Tamil Nadu is remaining as a garden of peace.
Last week, two girls who were staying in school hostel and studying in Pollachi was subjected to sexual violence. In the lengthy series of the girl student Punitha was subjected to sexual violence and murdered in Tuticorin- sexual murder of tribal woman Menaka in Harur Dasaravalasai village- 9 year old girl raped and murdered near Tirupattur- Sugurna near Vriddhachalam- 21-year old young woma Sandiya in Chidambaram, Mariammal in Tuticorin- Vimala near Nannilam- young woman Malar in Koyambedu, yesterday a Dalit girl Vinitha, who has completed Plus 2, was raped and murdered in betel leaf garden in the night of 23rd near Mayanur in Karur district.
Vinitha is the daughter of 40 year old Ponnusamy, an agricultural labourer. He was dreaming that his daughter somehow join Musiri Polytechnic, get diploma and come out. As there was no wherewithal for remitting college admission fees, she was working temporarily in a mosquito net manufacturing private company in summer vacation days. She had worked 10 hours a day, received wages for it and from her income she had remitted advance payment of Rs.5,000 to the college. Some miscreants aimed Vinitha, who had prepared new dresses for going to the college and anxiously awaiting the day of opening of the college, pushed he into a pit. The family of Ponnusamy, who were hopeful of the daughter getting educated, progress and protect the whole family, is now stranded in the middle of the road crying. Particularly, Vinitha’s father Ponnusamy has told ‘The Hindu’, “She is an exemplary girl, who shouldered the big responsibility of earning money for paying the college fee. The brutal murder has shattered my family”.
The girl’s mother Nagavalli has said, “Going by her high thinking and laudable activities, I thought that she will lift my family out of poverty. But the culprits have wreaked havoc on my family. The offenders must be brought to book”. People of the village have resorted to road roko on the Vengamedu Salem Road urging the arrest of the culprits. Last week two girls in Pollachi- this week Vinitha in Karur- how long this list will prolong?
Today’s (June 25, 2014) ‘The Hindu’ daily has published a lengthy article relating to this sexual atrocity. Its heading is “Crime against women, especially against Dalits has been quite frequent in the central districts in the past few years; while the Police are tardy in registering complaints, the indifference of authorities to the plight of the marginalised sections continues- HURT and MUTE”. In that article, besides writing about the rape and murder of Vinitha in Karur, they have described that the dream of her parents about their daughter is shattered.
The daily has listed,
In February 2012, 19 year old girl student was raped and murdered in Amoor and her decomposed body was found twenty months later in Cauvery bed.
In March 2012 a 12 year old Dalit girl was raped and murdered in Sirkali of Nagapattinam district.
In December 2012 in Thalaignayiru in Nagapattinam district, eight year old Dalit girl was raped.
In January 2014, in the Nagudi police station limits of Puduckottai district, 17 year old woman was raped and murdered.
In April 2014, in Vedarayam of Nagapattinam district 8 year old girl student was sexually assaulted.
Some days back, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi President Thol Thirumavalavan has told reporters in Madurai that over sixty Dalits had been murdered in the last six months in Tamil Nadu.
Every day if the newspapers are opened only the deterioration of law and order is clearly seen. In particular in the last two days alone,

On 20.6.2014 ‘Times of India’ daily published a detailed report on robberies under ADMK regime.
“The city police have failed to solve a single case of theft through attention diversion.Tricksters have made away with more than 180 sovereigns of gold jewellery and more than Rs 20 lakh in cash since 2013, Chennai police data shows. Police are yet to solve 85 cases dating back to 2013.
Victims have reported that conmen use a wide variety tricks, sometimes posing as policemen and cheating their victims into parting with jewellery and in some cases distracting them by dropping notes near them, stealing bags of cash or jewellery and vanishing before the victims realise that they’ve been had”.
During the previous DMK rule, how many times the present Chief Minister Jayalalitha issued statements on the issue of law and order? Where has Jayalalitha, who ferociously issued statements that ‘minority DMK government should immediately resign’ and ‘the Chief Minister who is in charge of Home department should not stick to power even for a day”, has gone now? I am not prepared to issue statements like her and ask for her resignation.
But she should come forward to establish law and order in Tamil Nadu. The rulers should  impartially take action to prevent occurrence of sexual crimes, murders and robberies without showing keenness in being vindictive against opposition party functionaries. Is a government or not in Tamil Nadu?”
